By Shekinah Turner
Loved and respected,
We free ourselves with the joy of being
alive,
Through laughter we feel warmth,
embraced by the presence of happiness
that makes us forget about the troubles
of tomorrow.
Trusting our hearts, and minds
That we will reach the stars our
ancestors followed.
The sunshine is evidence of heavenly
beings that watch over us in this
lifetime.
Let us not forget who brought us over
Let us not burn down those bridges that
we've crossed,
The paved ways that struggle created to
make us FEEL LIKE giants when we
were belittled!
REACHH DOWN AND PICK UP THE
ONES WHO HAVE BROKEN, so they can
find the rest of themselves In a society
of ruthless people
