One Twenty-One publishes work by HBCU students.

We are currently reading submissions of the following through May 1, 2026:

 

· Poetry

· Fiction

· Creative nonfiction

· Visual art

· Photography

Guidelines:

Email text submissions to onetwentyonejournal@gmail.com as a single .doc or .docx attachment.

The file name should contain your full name (LouDuva.docx).

Please indicate the genre of work in the email subject line ("Poetry Submission") and include a brief    

biographical statement in the body of the email. 

 

Poems: send up to six. No page limit, within reason.

Fiction/Creative nonfiction: any number of pieces, totaling no more than ten pages.

 

Email all other, non-text submissions to onetwentyonejournal@gmail.com as PNG or JPG attachments.
