By Autumn J. Cuff

I repeat audio of our love, and continue searching for our meaning.

Why push a pen so hard just to go blind mid-work of art?

Why repeat words that are destined to hit a wall and make a satisfying mess?

When do words stop one from experiencing life changing emotions?

I'm in love with a sound I do not own,

With a face called home,

With an essence that once fed my soul.

I was on repeat when you found me.

How do I freeze this moment?

How do I leave without drawing any more blood?

I repeat the audio of this love that I wish to forget.

Let new melodies in;

Strike keys that bend thoughts and emotions into one.

I sing reflective notes that, in some twisted way, charred an

Evolved purpose once sought after

With the motivations that led to our love in question,

Why can't we just freeze this moment?

I am forever on repeat because of you.
