After a long, hard year One Twenty-One is back with a resurgence of life! Having lost a large portion of the production team, we had to enlist new members and plan a new issue in a relatively short amount of time. We had to quickly make decisive choices quickly for the journal to produce an issue at all this year. Our focus was set on rebranding our site as a platform for all creatives to express themselves and network with peers. In addition to this, we have placed an emphasis on forms of creative expression that may be more broad than traditional ideations of art.

As a celebration for overcoming the hardships we faced this semester, we held a poetry showcasing to represent our perseverance through hard times. Our poetry event promised a night of creativity, expression, and community. We established ourselves as a creative platform within our community that night. We are excited to reestablish our creative platform amongst the HBCU community.

Sincerely,

The 2024-2025 121 Editorial Team
