By Autumn J. Cuff

Looking in your eyes feels dangerous,

But I can't look away, it's so contagious.

I know we're not perfect, but we're damn close,

A love like ours, I need it the most.

You give me something money can't afford,

That's what it's like, loving you, my reward.

Our love’s a constant, despite the pain,

In your eyes, I find my place again.

In your heart, I find my grace,

Even when the world feels out of place.

I feel trapped in this space that was granted, so free,

Effortless trails, yet none seem to lead to me.

Blackouts that lack a source or reason,

I question the motives behind this season,

The distance we’ve grown, I can't understand,

But still, I reach out with trembling hands.
